Carmen Podar is a passionate Java backend Software Developer with over 11 years of experience working in the industry. Based in the Netherlands, Carmen has worked at companies like Backbase and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. She has recently launched Logiscool West Amsterdam. A non-profit that teaches children about coding and digital literacy in a fun-based, after-school format
Ursula is a Senior Web Engineer at N26 with over 7 years of experience in software development. She is also the Co-Founder of Warmilabs, a non-profit that aims to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
Warmilabs offers talks, workshops, and courses on specific topics related to STEM fields. These programs allow girls to explore concepts and develop designs based on programming.
Janine is a Developer Evangelist at R3 based in London, UK. She is a full-stack engineer trained in Java, Kotlin, Javascript (React/Redux), and Ruby. Originally from Hong Kong, she has lived abroad since the age of 11 in Northern Ireland, Canada, and France. Coding, languages, music, and dance are her main passions.
Charlene Hunter is the CEO & founder of Coding Black Females. Charlene has a strong academic background with a BSc in Mathematical Sciences and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham.
She has over 10 years of experience as a Java and C# developer and technical architect and has skills in requirements capture, technical architecture, testing, and various other aspects of building successful software applications. Charlene set up Coding Black Females because in her years as a Software Developer, she discovered Black women were heavily underrepresented in tech. She wanted this to change, and ensure that Black women were able to discover role models and see familiar faces within the industry.
Juliana is a Latina immigrant with 8+ years of experience working in tech, leading product teams to develop data-driven products. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and is currently writing her Master’s thesis in IT Project Management at Stockholm University.
She is the Founder and CEO of Beela. Beela is an organization that empowers underrepresented groups to break into tech.
