Initially kickstarting his tech career in the States, Anderson has been working in Technology for just over 20 years. In his current role at Uber Amsterdam’s HQ where he is the Director of Engineering, Anderson actively supports initiatives involving STEM or the broader Women in Tech community. Anderson is a firm believer that inclusive teams perform better and has developed his leadership ethics at some of the world’s largest organisations like Amazon, Google and HBO.
Benjamin acts as the de facto CTO at Babbel, steering the technology landscape to empower language learners worldwide. He directly manages 130 professionals in clusters such as Platform Engineering, Principal Engineering, QA, Infrastructure, Data, IT and Information Security, and laterally leads the Product and engineering teams at Babbel (300+ people). Benjamin is responsible for the development and growth of technical and product teams, having a significant impact on the company’s approach to inclusive hiring, training for leadership and decision-makers and providing support and mentorship to women in tech within Babbel and the greater tech community.
Sérgio is passionate about engineering management, leadership and software delivery. He strives to make a meaningful impact on organisations by delivering exceptional experiences to both internal and external customers. In parallel, he’s deeply committed to the cause of Diversity and Inclusion and believes that fostering inclusion it is not just a moral imperative but also a strategic advantage. He actively works to create inclusive workplaces, promote D&I at various industryevents, and drives recruitment activities that promote diversity. He dedicates his time to working with people, building a culture where individuals can be themselves and bringing great results to the business.
David is currently responsible for Product Security at JustEat Takeaway.com, managing a team of diverse talent who aim to protect the applications customers & partners use while aiming to improve security culture & awareness internally. His journey initially started in management accounting, then a move to live operations, with a stint in project & programme management, and most recently a serendipitous move into Security about 9 years ago. He has experience across a diverse set of industries, covering retail, IT consulting, video games, and E-commerce. David is a committed leader who will always favour the combined strength of the team over an individual, and is someone who has a passion for hiring & retaining diverse talent in the tech industry.
Javier is a corporate generalist manager with substantial in-house ICT consultancy experience. He is highly skilled in providing strategy and solutions-oriented consultancy from creation to operations. At Accenture, Javier actively steers and supports inclusive gender and diversity initiatives, having also been nominated as one of Europe’s most Inspiring D&I leaders in 2023. Javier also heads up Pride at Accenture having been recognised in recent months for two Workplace Pride LGBTIQ+ Awards and actively supporting and giving visibility to underrepresented groups in tech.
