We asked 65 companies across Berlin and Amsterdam the percentage of gender diverse talent on their engineering team, the number of gender diverse hires they’ve made in the last year, and if they have a gender diversity strategy for 2021.
The result? Well, it appears that all companies are a long way away from closing the gender gap in tech. 75% of companies even make less than 20% gender diverse hires. Shocked? We were too.
If you want to be a competitive employer, have a strong employer brand, increase innovation, creativity and internal engagement then diversifying the gender distribution on your team should be a top priority.
