What To Expect
As a Fullstack Engineer, you will build highly available and high throughout solutions to enable the world’s access to music. You will also be able to create better, more seamless user experiences to help users access.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Working across the Web and Backend stack to plan and deliver end-to-end solutions. As a Full-stack (or ‘T-shaped’) engineer you have the ability to work fluidly across different programming languages and technologies.
- Delivering testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Continuously optimizing the software you create
- Sharing knowledge, evangelizing best practices, and collaborating with a team of equally passionate peers
- Taking operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team, including taking part in an on-call rotation
- Working in an environment that supports your individual growth by providing you with challenging work, the freedom to acquire new skills on hack days, reading groups, and a variety of internal training courses
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is inclusive and a true great teammate. Interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise, as well as exploring other areas of computer science and continually learning and growing as an engineer. You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing.
- 5 years of experience in the working backend (Java) and front-end languages and relevant frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Vue.js).
- Comfortable working with designers to iterate upon and deliver compelling user experiences.
- You are experienced working with modern, cloud-native infrastructure and tools (such as Kubernetes). Also comfortable running your software in Linux environments
- You have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms, and understand how to apply them to design pragmatic solutions
