We are working with a social impact startup that is aiming to diversify tech by providing job opportunities to regions with some of the highest youth employment in the world in Palestine, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). They are building an all-in-one platform that connects these applicants with top tier tech companies, volunteers to help coach to pass interviews and a community to advise on career development.
As one of the first engineers at a growing startup, you will build the tech product from scratch. You will be closely involved in determining which features are built, how to design the user experience, and how to design the architecture. You’ll implement complex workflows in their Next.js application. Knowing Next.js is a good-to-have but not a requirement for this role. They will invest heavily in your growth. You will be managed by a seasoned engineering manager & architect. If desired, you may have the chance to manage junior engineers.
The Ideal candidate is one with experience working on effective remote teams & thrive in such environments. You work well across time zones (e.g., you communicate effectively via asynchronous oral & verbal channels). Can adapt to change while being able get things done efficiently and accurately, with little need for supervision. You must be a team player, love learning and open to feedback.
